Sean was an entrepreneur and musician at heart. He strove to support the underdog and keep the freedom and joy of artistic endeavors alive. He never took the easy path – and generally fought against any organized institutions, be it school, work, or government.

He ran a music studio Lion’s Den in the early 2000’s – putting him in touch with many local and international hip-hop artists, including the Wu Tang members. Here is where his love for music grew. He has music on Apple store under Hermetic Order & John Lion – check it out.

He then became a lover of air Jordan shoes. Camp/US on Milwaukee Ave in Logan Square initially was opened up as a place for getting shoes and coordinated apparel, but morphed into an art supply store and place for artists of all type to express themselves. If you never saw or painted on the replica L-Train in the back – you missed an amazing opportunity.

He always thought big – tried to see the bigger picture – that led to the opening of a second store in the Pilsen area – called Turnstyle. He was in the process of moving and growing even bigger --His dreams were always as big as his heart.

While he kept his family separate from his business – it is clear that he was known and loved by many in the community. Thanks to those who have reached out and sent their thoughts.

Sean is survived by his Mother Sandy Cook, and Father, William Lowe, his sister Siobhan Lowe, and son Sean Michael Lowe Junior. He was also loved by the Valdez family of Chicago, Pfeil family and the Chicago community of artists.

In his heart, I know he would want you to support local artists and those who think differently, help them see their worth – that is the greatest gift anyone can give.
