Free Parking: An Arts Festival in a Parking Spot

For three hours on Parking Day, Sept. 17, the Milwaukee Avenue Alliance took over three parking spaces in front of MAA HQ at 2912 N Milwaukee for the city’s smallest arts festival. Thanks to a grant from Spin in conjunction with Better Block and the Parking Reform Network we were able to make all of this free to the public while paying the creatives who participated: Books4Cause, Eatin Puerto Rican, King Caricatures, Crooklyn Cutz, Access Contemporary Music, Sonic Spirit Collective, Time Brickey.
